Ready to sell in Tampa Bay? You'll want to know these tips to make your home seem larger!

Over the past 10+ years in real estate we've helped hundreds of clients in Tampa Bay sell their home.  Today I am going to share how to help make your home feel larger through inexpensive minor design and decor choices.  Buyers are always looking to maximize their value and space when purchasing a home, I hope these tips and tricks help you maximize your home!  We are always available for an in person consultation to look at your specific space and give our best recommendations, just give us a call!

Tip 1 - Lighting, nothing makes a room seem smaller than being dark & cluttered.  If you have lots of windows, get the right window treatments to help allow natural light through.  If you do not have many windows, install a center overhead light or canned lights in the room.  Corner or bedside lamps will also help.  Get daylight bulbs to make this light seem more natural and help your rooms feel larger!

Tip 2 - Paint with light colors, and buy light colored furniture.  Again, darker items are going to enclose the space.  You want your rooms to be bright and light to make them seem larger!

Tip 3 - Use wall mirrors, I love this trick especially in dining rooms to make the room feel deeper.  But using long wall mirrors or a gallery of smaller more eclectic mirrors can help make a room feel larger!

Tip 4 - Minimize items in the room and get creative with storage!  Using items like a coffee table with storage underneath, or bins that slide underneath your bed can be great use of space and minimize unnecessary items in the room from being visible.  If you have met with us to sell, you know our #1 tip is always to declutter.  So declutter, and get creative with your storage to help rooms seem larger!
