Giving Back to Your Community

One of our most important values as a team is how can we HELP.   We love giving back to our clients we serve and the community we serve.  We pride ourselves in being local experts so we can give our clients the best possible service, and advise them the best to be sure they are making the right decisions in real estate.  But on a bigger scope, we want to help our community as a whole because that's what makes a difference in the places that we live.

 

Since I was in High School, I began giving back.  From high school, college, and my early career in Tampa - I did this through community service.  In High School, I volunteered in elementary schools, tutoring, and a food pantry.  In college, I volunteered hundreds of hours, receiving the Fordham Excellence Award my senior year for my service to the NYC community.  In Tampa, I began volunteering at the Hillsborough Education Foundation mentoring students, holiday tents at Metropolitan Ministries, and United Way Suncoast for various opportunities.  My point being, giving back to your community does not need to be monetary - giving your time and expertises to your community is just as important.

 

As we have become more successful with our business we make donations year round but my favorite is to buy 1 turkey for each home sold - this is our 9th year making this donation.  We've put a turkey on over 500 tables since 2015.  I still enjoy volunteering in school, doing the holiday tent for Metropolitan Ministries, and serving as a board member of Starkey Cares.  I run a networking group called Ranchers Networking Group, based on business owners giving back quarterly to help local organizations.  I am proud to rub off on my husband who is now the VP of the Athletics Club for our school, he volunteers hundreds of hours creating a better athletics experience for students and using his marketing skills to create banners, flyers and materials for them.  Also, to be surrounded by my team whose values align with a desire to help and serve for our community, they are constantly giving back as well.  We are here to make a difference and I believe if everyone gave back just a little more of their time and money when possible, our community would be stronger than ever.  With rising prices this holiday season, cut back one thing for your family and give to someone else in need.  Sign up for a 2hour slot to give your time to sit in a nursing home, hospital, or pass out food/gifts for the holidays.  If you need ideas please let me know, please help spread the gift of giving back this holiday season.
